My first activities upon arriving in New York.
1. A much-needed nap. On a red eye, I was stuck in the middle seat and the assholes behind me would not stop talking while the woman next to me insisted on staring out the window, even after the sun rose. I'M TRYING TO SLEEP. Unfortunately, Steven Slater beat me to this meme.
2. Cleaning storm windows. I wanted to include a video of Keith Richards on The Simpsons talking about storm windows, but nothing's on the internets, so I'll give you my favorite joke from the same episode instead. My image!
3. Watching my dog chew on sticks for 20 minutes. And feeling jealous.
Not exactly the most glamorous homecoming, but things should pick up in the next couple of days. I got a cheap thrill when I was looking up the places on Google Maps I'll be hitting with Ben, Jenn and Lisa on Friday night and seeing an image of Manhattan. Because as The Ramones say, New York City really has it all.
