I put "Whoops my bad" into a Google Image search and I swear the first hit is of this adorable puppy! Happy day!
It's been awhile since I last updated, and judging by my hit counter over the last couple of weeks, people have been checking for updates to make sure they haven't somehow missed my excessive spamming of Facebook with every new post. Apologies! I don't mean to make you all feel like this:
or this
Just a little more patience. I promise it will be worth it! You'll feel like Peggy!
And then dance like Paul Rudd!
What do you have to look forward to, you ask? Considering the extent of my travels and amount of time spent on the road, I've decided to go with a post about one of my favorite subjects in the world:
FOOD!!
It's keeping with the promise I made in my sidebar poll, and it might come as a surprise to some people that I've actually had some classy meals as of late (ain't all 12-egg omlettes and whipped-cream-from-the-can over here, OK?) and I feel they need documenting. The above is one of the courses of this giant multi-course meal I had at a ryokan in Hakone over the weekend, and I've got plenty of shots of KOBE BEEF, osechi ryori (Japanese New Year cuisine), shabu shabu, etc etc etc. The list is ridiculous. However, I can't do this now since I'm supposed to be doing homework (hey, maybe I shouldn't have waited until 2 days before I go back to school to start...), and I also have to be up ridiculously early tomorrow morning to see my mom off to the train that will take her back to Narita Airport. Ugh, there will be tears and my face is going to be a puffy mess tomorrow. Please withhold your judgment.
Anyway, in the meantime, grab your popcorn and wait in rapt Michael-Jackson anticipation:
Noooo!!! I said don't judge me with your Lucille Bluth stare!
