All Filler

In about the last couple of weeks there has been so much good stuff showing up on the internet that I've been having trouble figuring out which links are the best.  I've got more than a few up on Facebook, and as Deirdre mentioned to me on Friday, the last 5 posts in her Facebook feed were all mine.  I can't help myself!  If I find something awesome, I feel like I must share.  But, you know, I also feel supremely lame posting on Facebook about every 30 seconds, so here I give you the Awesomest Stuff I Found This Week:

Hide your kids!  The stuff below is basically not safe for life.

Charlie Sheen
Emergency rush to the hospital?  Check
No rehab?  Check
Suitcase full of blow?  Check
A porn family?  Double Check
Two and a Half-Men somehow still on the air?  The motherfucker is invincible.
How is this man not dead?  Everyone's been telling Cher or Keith Richards jokes all these years, but I have a feeling these will quickly be replaced with Charlie Sheen.

Lindsay Lohan
Now with felony grand theft charges!  Good job!

OK, the kiddies can come back now.

Corgi Tetherball

I died.  And there is, of course, a moving gif to go with it so that the corgis never stop playing tetherball.

Paris Couture Shows
I loved loved LOVED the Dior femme fatale-inspired show.  Fierce bitches, are fierce.  Makes me want to replicate these looks for Halloween.

And then there was Gaultier.

Finally, there was Givenchy.  Might want to hide the kids again because - to borrow from Flight of the Conchords - there were too many nipples on the runway.

For more, go here.  It does kind of annoy me that it took an Asian-inspired collection for a designer to use Asian models, though.  It's usually that way with the fashion industry.

Also:
OH MY GOD THAT WOMAN HAS NO FEET.  Wasn't this in a Bond movie before?

Politics
I am admittedly apolitical (I've only voted once and it was for Kerry... embarrassing, but like I was going to vote for Bush?) and the most I've said about the Obama administration has been extreme frustration with health care (whose administration doesn't that apply to, though) and Michelle Obama fantastic fashion sense.  That McQueen she wore to the state dinner with China?  PERFECTION.  See:
Oscar de la Renta can go cry dried up old man tears because this was fabulous.

Anyway, in terms of actual politics, the whole redefining rape bill going through Congress right now makes me want to vomit.

Not amused.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS AN ISSUE.  It's bad enough that women have to fight to keep men from touching their bodies in actual life; now we have you metaphorically reaching into our uteri to make sure our rape/incest baby is still there?  DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME.  UGH it just makes me so angry and sick.

And now I've crossed into crazy/angry face territory:

Time for angry girl music:

I'm so pissed I'm going back and thinking about puppies again:

Wait!  Where'd that duck come from?

OK, I'm a little better.  I think.

Lots of Other Stuff
Valentine's Day is almost here.  Perhaps you should get your SO a bag of these:

I don't care.  No matter how old I am, farts are always going to be funny:

This kid is smarter than me, and probably you too.

This probably won't be the best movie, but at least it is a lot more realistic about the bridesmaid's experience than all those other romcoms.  And surprise Jon Hamm at the end!  Happy day!

And speaking of movies:
There are again rumors about finally making that Arrested Development movie, but I'm not holding my breath.  In the meantime, I am going to play Tobias-Funke dress up.

I've also been hearing about this movie for awhile, but didn't sit down to watch the trailer until Speed made me.  And it looks obscenely good.  Marking this one down on my list of "To See" movies along with Sucker Punch (also featuring Jon Hamm... go figure).

I know this won't be many people's taste, but I don't care.  This reminded me of why I listened to so much Zeppelin back in the day.

And after watching 127 Hours last night (which I recommend seeing.  I wasn't expecting much from the movie and it was thoroughly entertaining), someone pulled up this video from Chapelle's Show about the risks of going out at night with Wayne Brady.  I almost asphyxiated from laughing.

And that's about all I have time for.  There were other things, but at this point I either can't find the links again or I'm just too lazy to go digging.  But this week has also been a boon for moving GIFS, so here are a couple more:
